Biden made the IRA happen, but somehow most he does hurts the energy transition. All the stocks of the energy transition are down heavy since he is in office (solar, ev, wind) . Now if you have huge taxes on Chinese batteries and solar stuff this may be bad too. Onshoring is not the best option for a fast energy transition, especially for a non inflationary transition. Rivalry is good for cheap prices.

how is Tesla 2024 like Lehman 2008 in any way? Tesla has is debt free and high value assets which are likely to hold their value as they have in this difficult market with prevailing headwinds, compared to Lehman who owned an enormous amount of risky illiquid mortgage backed securities that tanked along with the housing market in 2008.

Unfortunately, Biden is just learning that onshoring is an issue of national security. If EV is the future in America, then onshiring, or close allie battery as well as rare earth metal is necessary. If it's not achievable, then the transition was not planned correctly.
Tesla bulls slowly recognize the reality of the Musk pump, they will even more when it finally breaks those $140, probably later this year.
